Premier League side Likhopo has acquired the services of former Lesotho international Bushy Moletsane from league giants Lioli in a move that took place on the last day of the transfer window period.

The news was confirmed by Likhopo spokesperson Mpo Mokotjo this week, who also pointed out that the only thing standing in the way currently is the approval by FIFA Connect.

Yes the player has signed with us, at this point we are just awaiting confirmation of the transfer system (FIFA connect), if all goes well, everything will be completed this week, Mokotjo said.

In 2018, the veteran midfielder returned to Matlama where he made a name for himself before joining the Teyateyaneng based Lioli which enjoyed his services for over a decade where he helped the side to win the league title.

He returned to Lioli in 2019, which was then under the guidance of Thabile Secker who was the coach when Matlama won the 2018/19 league title.  But Secker did not last half the season he and was soon replaced by Morena Ramoreboli at the helm.

Likhopo finished last season on tenth position with 18 games played, four wins, eight draws and six loses, having collected 20 points.  Despite the 2019/20 season being interrupted by the Covid-19 outbreak, the team was already not in good shape and now seem to be on the right track to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

The 36-year-old veteran midfielder has won four league titles in his 11 years spell with Lioli securing hero status at TseNala and he has consistently featured for Lesotho since 2003 and is still the most capped player for the national team.

Molestsane also previously starred for TsePutsoa and is still revered by the teams fans and the football fraternity.  His experience will highly be beneficial to the Maseru based side as they look to retain their status as one of the most competitive teams in the league.
