In a demonstration of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sasai Econet Financial Services (SEFS) has made a significant contribution to ‘Mantšase Children’s Home (MCH).

SEFS, a subsidiary of Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL), donated groceries, cosmetics, blankets, and cooking gas worth nearly M40,000.00 to the home in Taung, Mohale’s Hoek, this week.

‘Mantšase Children’s Home has long been a refuge for orphaned and vulnerable children in Mohale’s Hoek, providing them with care, education, and hope for a brighter future.

The generous donation from SEFS will supply essential groceries and household items, enhancing the children’s quality of life and supporting the home’s ongoing operations.

As a leading provider of financial services, including EcoCash and EcoSure, SEFS is committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves. This initiative exemplifies SEFS’s dedication to helping those in need, a tradition upheld by ETL for years.

During the handover ceremony, Acting General Manager of SEFS, Lehlohonolo Matee, spoke about the initiative: “We are deeply honored to support ‘Mantšase Children’s Home during this significant year for Lesotho.”

Matee added: “As we celebrate our country’s rich history and heritage, it is essential to remember and support those less fortunate. SEFS remains committed to being a force for good in various communities, and this donation is just one of the many ways we aim to make a difference.”

Bokang Lipholo, Director of MCH, expressed his gratitude: “We are immensely grateful to SEFS and the entire ETL family for this generous support. The donation will significantly aid in our mission to care for the children. It is through support like this that we can make a lasting impact on their lives.”

Lipholo also shared details about the home’s operations: “We accommodate children from ages three to eighteen, with caretakers assigned based on age and special needs. Our facilities include a library, study halls, and playgrounds. When children are ready for tertiary education, we assist them in pursuing their studies, often with the help of the Higherlife Foundation.”

SEFS is proud to celebrate Basotho’s historic milestones by giving back to the community and supporting those in need.

The company remains dedicated to empowering individuals and businesses through convenient, reliable, and secure financial services, promoting financial inclusion, and driving economic growth in Lesotho.
