As the kick-off for the 2023/24 Women’s Super League (WSL) season draws closer, Kick4Life Ladies have welcomed eight new signings including three promoted from their development team.
The club has also unveiled a new playing kit sponsored by the Schwitts family in the United States of America (USA).
The new signings include midfielder Lieketseng Molefe, forward Limakatso Tsaoane, (both from Limkokwing University FC), winger Senate Letsie (FC Stoko), striker Reitumetse Namane, (Mapetla High School FC) and Mahali Sepiriti from LMPS Ladies FC.
The promoted players are left winger Itumeleng Phiri, striker Mpho Molefe and Tsilelo Mokepe who plays defence or on the wing.
During a recent unveiling ceremony, Kick4Lifeâ€™s Country Director, Motlatsi Nkhahle welcomed the new players into the club and commended them on their new journey.
“Please ensure that you love football and play respectfully for Kick4Life. Here at Kick4Life, we respect football because to us, it is not just a sport; it is a tool for changing lives,” Nkhahle said.
“We hope that in playing, you can change your life and the lives of those you are playing with and your opponents as well,” Nkhahle stated.
Nkhale further urged the newcomers to play with intention and be inspirations to other players who would want to be like them.
Kick4Life’s coach, Elizabeth Yelimala welcomed the newcomers formally and implored them to work hard and be dedicated to helping their teammates.
Also present at the unveiling, Kick4Life Executive Committee member, â€˜Maphoka ‘Puky’ Ramokoatsi called for the players to always support one another and to work towards maintaining a harmonious space within the team.
“Remember, Kick4Life is here to empower young women in sports, and you are those young women, so make use of your time here to empower yourselves and other women and girls around you,â€ Ramokoatsi said.
