The Lepereng OlympAfrica Center (OAC) women’s volleyball team faces a hurdle in their upcoming journey to Botswana for an International Camp and Tournament organized by the Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) in collaboration with Bring It Promotions.

Without financial aid, the team risks missing out on this invaluable opportunity.  Scheduled from May 17 to 22 in Gaborone, the tournament boasts participation from various volleyball teams, including the University of Botswana, the Botswana National Team, Howard University from the USA, and Lepereng OAC.

While the BVF has generously offered to cover accommodation and meals during the tournament, additional support is crucial for transport, team attire, and sustenance during travel.

Lepereng OAC, a prominent participant in the Lesotho Volleyball A-Division League, appeals for sponsorship to secure funds for transportation, ensuring their participation in this prestigious event. The tournament not only promises exposure to high-level volleyball but also presents opportunities for student-athlete scholarships in the USA.

Khotso Mahloko, the team manager, highlighted the urgent need for transport funding and seeks affordable quotations for travel to and from Botswana. Additionally, provisions for food, water, and team uniforms are essential for the journey, aiming to uphold Lesotho’s reputation with a distinct uniform kit.

Despite financial constraints, Lepereng OAC has demonstrated remarkable prowess, clinching the top position in the first league tournament and currently leading the league standings as they embark on the second leg of the tournament.

Moreover, the club secured a commendable seventh position among Lesotho clubs at the 2023 Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone VI Senior Women’s Club Championships, showcasing their competitive spirit and potential on the regional stage.

As Lepereng OAC endeavors to represent Lesotho with distinction, sponsorship for their Botswana venture not only facilitates their participation but also strengthens the nation’s presence in the international volleyball arena.
