Letshego Financial Services has donated a sports kit to the National Security Services (NSS) office in Mafeteng under its corporate social responsibility projects.

The donation comes after a plea from NSS Mafeteng for Letshego to donate sports jerseys so that its personnel can engage in competitive sporting action.

TÅ¡epang Majoro from Letshego Financial Services Mafeteng branch, said during the kit handover that NSS and Letshego have a long-term working relationship, which made it easier for them to donate the sports gear.

She said the kit would be worn tomorrow when the NSS hosts a national football tournament for its personnel.

“NSS Mafeteng asked us to assist them so that on the sports day they will be all dressed the same,” Majoro said.

“We are an international company operating in 11 African countries and we have just celebrated 10 years of operations in Lesotho. This is part of our commitment to giving back to the community,” Majoro said.

She further highlighted that they are always happy to assist Basotho with the little they have.

On his part, the Director General of NSS, Pheello Ralenkoane said that NSS personnel have needs like other people despite their unique line of work.

He expressed his gratitude to Letshego for reaching out to their plea especially towards the great initiative organised by members of NSS in order to participate in sporting activities which will automatically link them with other people.

Ralenkoane implored NSS members to be loyal to their partnership with Letshego as they have showed for a long time that they are here to assist them.

“NSS has initiated the new ideas of community reach-outs as a way to engage more with the people. Without the people the office is nothing but through the outreach which are symbolised by actions such as this ones, it is where the engagement with the people begins.

“Mafeteng out of all the other districts has most resources and being able to be recognised by institutions such as Letshego means so much to their progress,” Ralenkoane said.
