To appreciate communities whose support remains strong, Econet Telecom Lesotho shared the first of its kind, bigger-than-life experience with Mokhotlong Switch to Blue winners, who walked away with a fine selection of prizes.

Makoro Makau, who won petroleum gas worth M3,000 stated that the gas could not have been more appropriate for him, as he would use it for two years, enabling him to save money for rainy days.

“I have just started my weight loss journey; this gear will help me confidently achieve this goal. I am so happy!” Itumeleng Motloli, who won gym gear worth M2,000 proclaimed.

Majority of the winners praised the campaign for its timeliness and socially conscious approach. Other prizes included smart TVs, electricity vouchers and laptops, which brought extra cheer to the experience. It was truly a winning moment for everyone. Additionally, the audience conveyed their appreciation, while also commending Econet for its affordable and convenient offerings, specifically EcoCash, Student Data Packages and EcoSure.

The prize-giving ceremony comprised of dance performances by a local dance crew, Italian Vogue Destroyers (IVD), who were excited to showcase their talent. The move is part of Econet’s ongoing pledge to drive meaningful change that empowers communities and promotes local youth talent.

To participate in the campaign and stand a chance to win their share of M2 million in daily, weekly, and monthly prizes, the public can opt in by buying data or voice bundles and redeeming their token to 65123 via SMS. Prizes include a total cash amount of M415,000, a cruise for two, smart TVs and many more.

Whether it is keeping customers connected through reliable and affordable connectivity, or forging strong alliances with communities, Econet is determined to establish practical and pioneering solutions that prioritize Basotho for growth and sustainability.
