Dunamis Retz unveils his fifth album, G.I.F.T

Dunamis Retz, a renowned figure in hip-hop, is set to enchant music enthusiasts with the launch of his much-anticipated fifth album, “G.I.F.T” (God Is For Talent), on July 27, this year.

This album promises to be a musical odyssey, blending lush melodies, profound lyrics, and heavenly harmonies, showcasing Dunamis’ unique artistic flair.

“I poured my heart and soul into ‘G.I.F.T,’ and I can’t wait to share it with my fellow supporters and hip-hop lovers,” Dunamis expressed. “This album is an intimate reflection of my personal experiences, and I hope it resonates with those who get to listen, bringing them healing, joy, comfort, and a sense of connection.”

The 15-track album boasts collaborations with some of the most talented artists in the industry, including the music O.G.s Metal Jacket, GLXRY (now known as Swede and Sauer), and Devfoe. Adding to this powerhouse lineup are emerging talents such as K.I, Bobby Stringz, Robocop, ‘Maleboka, ‘Mamatšeliso, and Fifi.

Together, they create a mesmerising soundscape that celebrates the profound moments of life.

About Dunamis Retz

Born Retšelisitsoe Molefe in Maseru, Lesotho, Dunamis derived his nickname from the Greek word for ‘Dynamite’. With an illustrious career spanning over a decade, he has become a significant force in the African music scene.

From winning numerous awards to featuring on major South African radio stations and popular TV shows, Dunamis’ impact is undeniable. His debut album, “MASTERED SEED”, released in 2007, featured the hit single ‘Mastered Seed’, which enjoyed heavy rotation on Channel O.

The album listening session for “G.I.F.T,” held on June 8, at Cappello in Maseru, was a resounding success. Attended by Dunamis’ supporters, friends, family, media, and local artists, the event received rave reviews.

Nyakallo ‘Ba2cada’ Leine from Lesedi FM hails Dunamis as “…one of the hip-hop kings.”

“G.I.F.T” will be available on all major music platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and YouTube, from June 28, 2024. Fans can also purchase the album on USB Music Cards.
