CONSTRUCTION OF RAMAPEPE RIVER CROSSING, ERECTION OF BAILEY BRIDGE, RE-GRAVELLING OF THE APPROACH ROADS AND SPOT IMPROVEMENT ON THE ROAD TO HA-MAKHOA .

1. The Roads Directorate has allocated funds towards the cost for the construction and Erection of the Ramapepe Bailey Bridge – along B803 link, Sectional Improvement of the Road, Re-Construction of Minor Crossing along B803, and the Re-Construction of the Jorotane Minor Crossing along link B803 -C801 link in the Leribe District.
2. The Roads Directorate hereby invites proposals from locally registered Contractors who are categorized by Roads Directorate under Category A and B. The invitation is open to Contractors who can show relevant capacity and experience in the construction and maintenance of bridge works,
3. The bidding documents in English comprising PARTS 1, 2 & 3 – Bidding Procedures, Works Requirements, Bills of Quantities, Conditions of Contract and Contract Forms, may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders (starting on Tuesday, 3rd June 2025) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Five Thousand Maloti (LSL 5,000.00) per project. The method of payment will be by transfer or deposit into the following Bank Account: Roads Directorate Operating Revenue Account, Account No.: 021000067633, Swift Code: NEDLLSMX, Branch Code: 390161, Nedbank, Lesotho, and proof thereof be presented to the Roads Directorate. Facility shall be made available for purchasing of the tender documents by POS/swiping at the Finance Division (Room G03), Roads Directorate Headquarters.
4. A Compulsory site visit and pre-tender briefing, have been organized on 5th June 2025 and assembly point will be at the Junction to Thaba-Phat’soa at (coordinates: 28°56’58″S 28°10’07″E) at 11:00hrs. Any further details shall be available from the Roads Directorate Headquarters offices.
5. All Tenders, in sealed envelope and clearly labeled as per Instructions to Tenderers, must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Fifty Thousand Maloti (M50,000.00) as stated in the Tender Document.
6. The priced Bid which must be inclusive of VAT must be accompanied by A valid Tax Clearance Certificate and a valid Trader’s License
7. The submission of the bid in sealed envelopes shall include one (1) original and three (3) copies. The sealed envelopes should be labeled with the project name “The Construction and Erection of the Ramapepe Bailey Bridge – Along B803 Link, Road Spot Improvement, Re-construction of Ramapepe Minor Crossing along B803, and Re-construction of the Jorotane Minor Crossing,” as well as the additional mandatory information listed above. These should be deposited in the Tender Box near the Procurement Office (Room G11) of the Roads Directorate on or before Thursday, 3rd July 2025 at 1200 Noon Lesotho Time. The tender opening will occur on the same date, Thursday, 3rd July 2025 at 1430 hrs.
