Thusong Financial Services (TFS), a prominent micro-lender, has kicked-off a summer campaign in which clients stand a chance to win great prizes from a total pool of M150 000.

Under the three-month campaign, clients will stand a chance to win prizes ranging from M5 000 to M30 000 when they take loans from November to the end of January, 2025.

Dubbed ‘Show Me the Money’, the campaign focuses on improving lives through financial literacy to encourage responsible spending during the festive season—a time when impulsive spending is common.

Weekly prizes include M5 000 in cash prizes, trolley dashes and hampers. The grand prize of M30 000 will be awarded to the ultimate winner at the end of the campaign. Additionally, the grand prize winner will receive an extra M10 000, which will be donated to an orphanage of their choice, as part of TFS’s corporate social investment (CSI).

Seeng Nchai, the TFS’s Head of Sales explained at the campaign launch that the initiative is part of the company’s broader efforts to promote financial inclusion and literacy.

Nchai said the campaign aims to support clients during the holiday season and the back-to-school period, while also promoting responsible financial behavior, educating the public on financial literacy, and encouraging loan consolidation.

“We are a credit-only financial institution, founded in 2011. As we celebrate our 13th anniversary, we remain committed to improving the socio-economic lives of our clients by offering convenient, affordable, and hassle-free loans, paired with exceptional customer service,” Nchai said.

“The campaign seeks to educate the public on the importance of financial management, emphasizing that loans should be used responsibly,” she added.

Nchai further highlighted that TFS’s goal is to improve the lives of Basotho.

“We are a trusted local partner, fully owned by Basotho. We are committed to helping you improve your lives. We lend to civil servants from M500 up to M350 000, which supports our vision of financial inclusion. We also offer loan consolidation services,” Nchai explained.

The campaign will reward clients in Maseru, Hlotse, Mafeteng, Qacha’s Nek, and Thaba-Tseka—the areas where the company operates.
