Kick4Life Ladies FC is enjoying a season to remember, sitting atop the Lesotho Women’s Super League (WSL) standings and edging ever closer to a coveted spot in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
With just four matches remaining, the team showed a great determination to finish strong and secure the league title, with a dominant 10-0 thrashing of Bantu FC Ladies last weekend at the Agric College Grounds.
This win followed another impressive result, a 3-1 triumph over Berea Ladies FC on March 29. The back-to-back victories have not only boosted team morale but also kept them narrowly ahead of title-holders Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Ladies FC by a single point.

Kick4Life’s consistent form this season has been nothing short of sensational. With 36 points and a well-balanced squad, they have emerged as serious contenders and are now just steps away from making club history.
In an exclusive interview, Head Coach Elizabeth Yelimba praised her squad’s resilience and hunger for success.
“We try to build more on our tactical and physical capabilities, improve on our tactical awareness both offensively and defensively. This helped us to dominate in each match.”
The team’s impressive performances have been built on a solid foundation of preparation, team spirit, and tactical discipline.
“For motivation, these ladies are self-driven and confident in what they do. The technical team, in addition to on-field training, adds team-building activities both on and off the field. Be focused, keep working hard, and approach each game as the final,” Yelimba explained.
Kick4Life’s campaign has been fueled by consistency and adaptability. From narrow victories like the 1-0 win over Lijabatho Ladies FC, to grinding out a 1-1 draw against title rivals LDF Ladies FC, the team has shown the ability to respond to any challenge.
Yelimba acknowledges the mounting pressure that comes with leading the league, especially with a side as experienced as LDF hot on their heels.
“The team has been playing well throughout the season, giving positive results. But now, it is all about maintaining our focus and consistency.”
With the stakes rising, Kick4Life has responded by refining its tactical setup, recently switching to a more dynamic 4-3-3 formation that balances defensive stability with attacking intent.
“We have changed our playing strategy to focus on defending well and scoring goals. Our aim is to collect as many points from every game. The closer we get to the end of the season, the more crucial each match becomes.”
Meanwhile, LDF Ladies FC remain relentless in their pursuit. Their recent 2-0 win over Mphaki High School Ladies FC keeps them within striking distance, maintaining the intensity of what is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling title races in years.
In a post-match interview, LDF Ladies Head Coach Lire Phiri acknowledged the growing challenge posed by other teams in the league.
“We are very proud as an LDF Ladies that we won this match and got the three points. This means we are getting closer to the first-position club, which is Kick4Life. Every team they face is becoming stronger, making each match more challenging,” Phiri said.
With just a handful of games left, every point matters. The WSL title race is heading for a dramatic finish, and Kick4Life Ladies is determined to finish what they have started, with history just within reach.
