The evening also witnessed an emotional farewell to the outgoing queen, Lisemelo Adam, who took her final walk as Miss Maseru, leaving behind a legacy of grace and empowerment.

For Mpapea, the journey has just begun. In an exclusive interview with Newsday Arts, she expressed her excitement and commitment to using her platform to inspire and empower the young women of Maseru.
“I am feeling happy, of course, because of my faith; I saw this coming and knew that I was going to win. My plan now that I have been crowned is to use this title for a better cause, focusing on advocating and supporting initiatives for youth unemployment to reduce the high rate of poverty,” Mpapea shared.
“I hope to be a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration to many young girls in our community, especially in Maseru the city i represent.”
The Miss Maseru pageant, held annually, is known for its celebration of local talent, poise, and the empowerment of young women. This year’s event was no exception, with a vibrant showcase of local artists, performers, and designers, adding to the glamour and prestige of the evening.

As gesture of support, the event was sponsored by Victory Hall. While the new Miss Maseru got a cash prize of M3000, a designer dress by NathLi Luxury and six months hair care by Unicure. The same prices were also recieved by the runner up, Amohelang Malefane, excluding the cash prize.
