Top artists are ready and it is all system go for the much-anticipated and biggest fun fest in the Southern Africa Region, the Spring Jump Off, tomorrow at the ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre in Maseru.

The event which will see some of Lesotho’s top talents sharing the stage with South Africa’s music heavyweights is taking place for the first time in Lesotho much to the excitement of revellers.

The festival started in neighbouring South Africa 12 years ago and Lesotho is its first branch country.

Organised by veteran DJ duo Vetkuk and Mahoota, the outdoor music festival will be headlined by the likes of Kopper, Bootz Dj, Sabby De DJ, Pablo, Thizozo and Nelo.

Other performers include South Africa’s finest such as AKA, Thebe, DJ Sumbody and Kabza de Small.

In an exclusive interview with Newsday Arts, Vetkuk Vs Mahoota said the Spring Jump-off is set to bring a different kind of vibe from what the party lovers are used to.

Mahoota said it is all systems go and most artists cannot wait to deliver their best performances at the event.

“We are more than ready and indeed it is all systems go from our side as organisers. We have been stationed here for two weeks now to ensure that the event is super safe and successful,” Mahoota said.

The duo Vetkuk vs Mahoota is celebrating 21 years and Mahoota said that is why they decided to partner with Big Events and bring the event to Lesotho to grow the brand beyond the borders of South Africa.

Big Events, owned by Dj Kopper, and Cuban Linx of DJ Mekonko are the main partners along with the Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC), Ultimate Radio, Maluti Premium Beer and Newsday Media.

The event will be hosted in Lesotho for the next five years.

Vetkuk and Mahoota have been in Lesotho working to prepare for the event and said the excitement all over the country during the activations has been motivating as it is evident in the ticket sales.

“Tickets are selling very well, and patrons are very excited,” Mahoota said.

Gates open at 10am.

This is a daytime event.

There will be an after party in a form of a pool party expected to take place on Sunday at The Glan Guest House from 10 am.
