The government of Lesotho through the Ministry of Health has entrusted Dr Norbert Chale Moji to be the Director of the Queen ‘Mamohato Memorial Hospital (QMMH).

This follows the decision by the government of Lesotho to cut ties with TÅ¡epong – the company which previously run the government facility under a private public partnership for its ill management or for not working according to the agreement.

Speaking during an unveiling event, Dr Moji indicated that he is pleased with his new assignment but he feels everything happened so fast.

“I believe everything happened fast but we will get there. At the moment we are looking to find the stationary so that we can continue to work manually because the system that was used has been taken away,” he said.

Moji indicated that one of his mandates was to build a team that will effectively manage the hospital.

“I am clad the team that is already there is made up of Basotho we promise nothing but to bring together our knowledge and manage the hospital accordingly in one direction so that we can bring much change that everyone in the country would be happy with,” he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Health Semano Sekatle indicated that government was looking forward to an efficient running of the country’s referral hospital especially now that it is the hands of the locals.

“I announce that the government has also selected Basotho nationals to manage the QMMH and its clinics.
