Kick4Life has ushered in a new generation of female footballers following the unveiling of new players for its Junior and Senior Women’s teams ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The unveiling, held on 27 September 2026, brought together experienced players, emerging talent and young footballers progressing through the club’s development pathway.

The occasion also highlighted Kick4Life’s commitment to developing players both on and off the pitch, with education remaining a key component of the Academy’s approach.

The Senior Women’s team has been boosted by nine new players drawn from different stages of the Kick4Life pathway and beyond.

Head Coach Alex Mavhiko

Reitumetse Mpeka joins from LCS FC Development, while Tšepiso Ramatšella and Mats’eliso Namane have progressed from the Kick4Life Juniors.

Reitumetse Motsiba has been promoted from the Kick4Life Soccer School programme, while Puseletso Jobo returns to the senior side after spending two years attending school in Nigeria.

Five of the new senior players, Mpeka, Ramatšella, Namane, Motsiba and Jobo, attended the unveiling. Khaliso Seboka, ‘Mamosa Ramotla, Bongiwe Lepolesa and Retšepile Khabele were unable to attend due to school commitments.

Their absence underlined one of the central principles of the Kick4Life Academy — that football development and education should go hand in hand.

Through its Academics Pillar, the Academy provides structured tutoring, academic monitoring, mentorship, career guidance and assistance with university, scholarship and internship applications.

The programme is designed to equip young players with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to pursue opportunities both in football and beyond the sport.

One of the major highlights of the unveiling was the promotion of 14-year-old Motsiba directly from the grassroots Soccer School programme into the Senior Women’s team.

Motsiba’s performances earned her a place among the senior players, allowing her to bypass the Junior Women’s team and make the unusual jump directly to the highest level.

The promotion marks the first time in Kick4Life’s history that a player has progressed from the Soccer School directly into the Senior Women’s team.

For the club, the development demonstrates the opportunities available within its pathway for young players who show the ability and readiness to take on greater challenges.

The Junior Women’s team has also undergone significant changes following the promotion of several players from last season’s squad to the senior team.

A total of 17 players has joined the Juniors, with most being new registrations who had not previously been attached to a club but had gained experience through their school teams.

Six new junior players, Lerato Pasa, ‘Mahlaoli Papashane, Nts’ebo Moshoeshoe, Makibi Kulehile, Boitumelo Mokolokolo and Mosa Rantja, attended the unveiling.

The remaining 11, namely Bophelo Makhasane, Rethabile Motanyane, Phethahatso Moshoeshoe, ‘Mamojalefa Ramashamole, Lithapelo Khechane, Liako Molapo, ‘Mamanama Hlojeng, Neo Ralebitso, Mpho Ramarumo, Leseli Letsie and Palesa Mohale, were absent because of school commitments.

Kick4Life said the continued balancing of school and football reinforces the Academy’s belief that education should not be sacrificed for sporting ambitions.

Welcoming the new players, Kick4Life Country Director Motlatsi Nkhahle urged them to work hard and maintain the quality and style of football associated with the club.

He also reminded them of the responsibility that comes with representing Kick4Life as they embark on the new season.

The newly unveiled Junior and Senior Women’s players later met Kick4Life staff who were present at the event, receiving words of encouragement and well wishes ahead of the campaign.

With fresh talent entering both the junior and senior ranks, Kick4Life’s 2026/27 campaign represents another stage in the club’s effort to build a sustainable pathway for female footballers while developing their education, character and life skills alongside their sporting careers.
