LCS Football Club (FC) has signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with bottled water producer, LDA to become the supplier of its water needs during official matches.
In exchange, LCS will exclusively sell LDA-branded drinking water in its canteens, apart from providing visibility for the brand at its games.
Speaking at the recent announcement of the deal, Motsoeli Tau from LCS, expressed gratitude for the sponsorship, underlining the positive relationship forged between the two organisations in the past when LCS consistently preferred using LDA’s bottled water.
On his part, LCS spokesperson, Pheko Ntobane expressed gratitude to LDA for their generous support.
He commended LDA for its support despite the team’s uninspiring position in the Vodacom Premier League (VPL) and said that they are looking at a brighter future as a result of the sponsorship.
The club, which has four premier league titles under its belt, currently languishes in the distant seventh position on the log.
“That is not where we belong, we are a better team than that. The team is motivated to climb the ranks since the points difference from the number one team is not too wide,” Ntobane explained.
Moitsukuli Monyanethe, the sales and marketing manager at LDA, stated his pride in the sponsorship, emphasising the importance of community support which has contributed to LDA’s success.
“When you do good gestures, you become emotionally satisfied, you get a sense of fulfillment,” Monyane said.
