Kick4Life Academy’s rising star, Paseka Maile, has officially embarked on an exciting new journey in the United States (US) after safely arriving and settling at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky.
The 20-year-old footballer and scholar began his college career with a bang this past weekend, scoring on his debut for the Blue Raiders in a pre-season match against Louisville.
Maile came on as a second-half substitute and wasted no time in making his mark, finding the back of the net in his very first outing. The goal marked not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for the Kick4Life community and football fans across Lesotho.
Speaking from Kentucky, Maile expressed his gratitude, “I am very happy and thankful to Kick4Life for making this dream a reality.”
His emotional words echoed sentiments he first shared during a packed press conference held at Kick4Life headquarters in June this year, where his move to the US was officially announced.
Maile has secured a prestigious scholarship to study for a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management while representing Lindsey Wilson College in NAIA-level soccer.
He now joins a growing group of Kick4Life alumni making strides internationally, including Seabata Tsemane and Thabo Mahlaha, who are currently studying and playing at Freed-Hardeman University.

The scholarship makes Maile the 17th student-athlete from Kick4Life to earn an international opportunity, a testament to the Academy’s mission of using sport to transform lives.
His journey from the A Division League to the U-20 and senior national squads, and now to U.S. college soccer, continues to serve as a beacon of hope for aspiring young athletes across the Mountain Kingdom.
Paseka’s rapid rise has captured the imagination of fans nationwide. A regular in the ranks of Likuena and a standout performer in the domestic league, his progress is being closely followed by the football fraternity.
With education and elite-level football now on his plate, Maile is determined to make the most of this opportunity both on and off the pitch.
His story is not just one of talent, but of perseverance, community support, and the power of combining sport and education. As he begins this new chapter, the nation watches with pride and anticipation for what lies ahead.
