National youth teams in practice SA tourney

Junior national teams, Makoanyane XI (under-21) and Bahlabani (under-17) will head to KwaZulu Natal (KZN), South Africa this weekend for friendly matches.

The teams will travel to Durban later to play practice matches against Amazulu Football Club (FC) and KZN Academy FC.

These friendly matches in KwaZulu-Natal are part of Makoanyane XI and Bahlabani’s preparations for this year’s COSAFA Under-20 and Under-17 Tournaments, which will also serve as qualifiers for the Confederation of African Nations (CAN) and the World Cup competitions.

Both national teams have been hard at work since the start of the year and have already played friendly matches in Eswatini and South Africa.

Makoanyane’s squad for the friendly matches is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Leluma Mofoka (Matlama FC), Thabelang Thafeng (Swallows FC), and Lehlohonolo Maloka (Prestige Academy FC, South Africa)

Defenders: Mahlomola Mafeto (AC TIP FC), Majara Mohale (CCX FC), Limpho Ralesupi (Majantja FC), Tšepo Matsoso (Majantja FC), Kopano Tsiane (AC TIP FC), Malefetsane Tamako (Kick4Life FC), and Lehlohonolo Leemisa (AC TIP FC)

Midfielders: Sechaba Mohapi (Kick4Life FC), Tumelo Mokena (CCX FC), Paseka Ntlaloe (Limkokwing University FC), Lebohang Janki (Swallows FC), Tšepo Senamolele (Kick4Life FC), Ncholu Phalatse (Hunters FC), Rorisang Malefane (Linare FC), Nyolohelo Mahloane (Matlama FC), Thandaso Ndlovu (Machokha FC)

Forwards: Paseka Maile (Kick4Life FC), Tšepo Kome (Majantja FC), Kefiloe Nqoko (Villa FC), Tumelo Shai (Orlando Pirates FC).

Bahlabani’s 23-men squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Kananelo Sebapala (Fafatsa FC) and Bataung Moleli (Wonderous FC). The defenders are Kabelo Thamae (MPSA Academy FC), Lebohang Ramalitse (Hunters FC), Setsoto Lepheana (Hunters FC), Masupha Seetsa (Kick4Life FC), Rapelang Lejakane (LMPS FC), Manama Hlojeng (Kick4Life FC), Mothabeng Mothabeng (Success FC), and Motati Pabatso (Botha-Bothe Fast XI FC).

The midfielders are Lekanyane Kalache (Liponono FC), Leseli Makoae (Majimbos FC), Khanya Rachabana (Transition Football Academy, South Africa), Lechesa Mkahupane (Mokhotlong LMPS FC), Thuto Khetsi (Kick4Life FC), Hlompho Makhanya (Setoko FC), Katleho Thobea, and Sebilo Kananelo (MPSA FC).

The forwards are Rethabile Nqoko (Majantja FC), Lefa Ramarumo (Lehakoe FC), Skhosana Manamathela (Mokhotlong LMPS FC), Morena Masithela (Eagles Development FC), and Rethabile Mokhachane (Young Tiger Boys FC).
