PROVISION OF ACCOMMODATION SERVICES TO NATIONAL DRUG SERVICE

  1. The National Drug Service Organization (NDSO) is a Trading Account for the Ministry of Health in Lesotho. It is mandated to procure, store, and distribute Medicines, Medical Supplies, and Laboratory Consumables for the Health Institutions in Lesotho. NDSO is legally gazette through the Legal Notice Supplement No.4 to Gazette No.19 of the 2nd March 2007. The Government Hospitals use their allocated funds for drugs and dressings to buy the supplies from NDSO. These funds are used by NDSO to Procure Medicines and medical Supplies from eligible Suppliers on an annual tender basis.
  • NDSO now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Provision of Accommodation Services to the National Drug Service Organisation as listed in Appendix A- (Description of Services) and the Price Schedule (under the sample form):
  • Eligibility will be subject to:
  • Valid Certificate of Hotel or Restaurants from the Tourism Licensing Office in Lesotho (License must still be valid at the time of evaluation);
  • Compliance with applicable regulatory requirements including local government health and sanitation laws, regulations, orders, codes, criteria, and or certifications that apply at facilities in which meals are prepared will be a requirement;
  • Valid Tax clearance from LRA;
  • Valid Health Certificates for all food handlers working in the accommodation company.
  • Bidding will be conducted through the Open National Competitive bidding procedures based on the current Public Procurement Act, 2023 of Lesotho.
  • It is expected that Bidders will be notified about the outcome of the tender on or before 19th September 2024.

  • A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of LSL1,000.00 (One Thousand Maloti only which is equivalent to South African Rand) on or before Thursday 30th August 2024 at the address below for Bidders who prefer the hard copy of the bidding document. The bidding document will be provided free of charge when shared electronically to the interested Bidders. The payment method shall be a telegraphic transfer to the bank account details below with all bank charges to the Bidder’s account.
