Letshego has reopened its revamped Mohale’s Hoek branch as part of its ongoing investment in improving customer service and expanding access to its financial and insurance products across Lesotho.

The upgraded branch is designed to provide customers with a more efficient and seamless service experience, whether they are reviewing existing policies, opening new accounts or exploring the company’s growing range of financial solutions.

Chief Executive Officer Selloane Tsike said the refurbished branch will operate in line with Letshego’s other branches nationwide, offering a full suite of services aimed at meeting customers’ evolving financial needs.

Branch Manager Seetsa Matlama thanked customers for their continued loyalty and support, saying the branch’s growth had been made possible by the confidence the community has placed in the company over the years.

He said the upgraded facilities reflect Letshego’s commitment to delivering faster, more convenient and customer-focused services to clients in Mohale’s Hoek and surrounding areas.

Matlama also encouraged customers to use credit responsibly, stressing that debt should be taken only for worthwhile purposes that improve people’s livelihoods and financial well-being.

Sales and Distribution Manager Thabang Mapena said the reopening demonstrates Letshego’s continued commitment to serving Basotho through innovative financial solutions.

He noted that since entering the Lesotho market, the company has expanded its portfolio to include four product offerings spanning insurance and banking services, giving customers greater access to financial products tailored to their needs.

The area chief of Phamong, Makhaola Theko, welcomed the branch upgrade, saying it would improve access to financial services and contribute to the socio-economic development of Mohale’s Hoek.

Beyond its commercial activities, Letshego also reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility through a donation to the local correctional facility.

The company donated cosmetics, hygiene products and washing soap to inmates after Matlama visited the facility and learned about the challenges faced by those incarcerated.

The donation aims to improve hygiene, dignity and everyday living conditions for inmates by providing essential items identified during the visit.

Letshego has continued to strengthen its position in Lesotho’s financial sector. In August 2025, it became the country’s first and only licensed Tier 1 deposit-taking microfinance institution after receiving approval from the Central Bank of Lesotho. The licence allows the company to accept customer deposits and broaden its savings and investment offerings, which were launched in June 2026.

The company now operates five branches across Lesotho, located in Maseru, Leribe, Mafeteng, Mohale’s Hoek and Botha-Bothe, as it continues to expand its national footprint and improve access to financial services.
