In preparation for the new season, Vodacom Premier League (VPL) giants Lesotho Correctional Services (LCS), unveiled its new M200 000 playing jersey courtesy of sponsors at the headquarters of the club sponsors Alliance Insurance Company in Maseru this week.

The kit, which is from the English sportswear company Umbro, was expected last year but was delayed due to what was described as technical issues.

Speaking to the media during the event of the unveiling, LCS Chairman, Ncheke said the long-term deal they have with the insurances company is what has kept them going and ensured they look as presentable as they do and continue doing well.

“We are here today launching the new LCS FC jersey all because of Alliance, our partnership with the company that has over 13 years has been very fruitful hence we have always been presentable.

“This past season was a very lengthy one filled with challenges including our not getting to receive our new jersey on time because of some technical issues, but thanks to Alliance Insurance today we are here,” Ncheke said, expressing their gratitude to the company.

The new jersey is complete with a green away and navy blue home playing kit that comes with goalkeeper’s attires and warm up jersey along with off field sweatpants with tops. There are no replicas for now until the beginning of the season as priority at the moment was to get the playing kit ready for the season.

The partnership between Alliance and LCS began 13 years ago and according to the management of the company it is a lifetime partnership.

Meanwhile, Alliance Insurance Company Retail and Marketing Manager, ‘Mahlompho Monare stated that as a company they pride themselves in offering support to LCS thus contributing towards development of sports.

“As a company we are proud of LCS and our journey with them over the years which we have seen the club grow as we continue to support them,” Monare said, adding that they believe that when one dresses well, they feel good and produce good results. “We are hopeful that the new jersey will encourage and motivate the team to bring the league home this coming season”.
