Nedbank Lesotho and Pick ’n Pay have launched a competition called ‘Pick & Win’ in which their mutual clients stand a chance to win great prizes.

Nedbank’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Sekonyela Matamane, explained that clients who transact through the bank’s digital channels at Pick ‘n Pay stores stand a chance to win various prizes including trolley dashes, grocery vouchers and Nedbank MobiMoney deposit in their digital wallets.

He said the bank’s leading POS machines at Pick ’n Pay outlets enable Nedbank clients, using either their debit or credit cards to safely pay for goods and even request cash from the Pick ’n Pay till points.

“It is our firm belief that when clients know their options around money management and utilisation, they are better equipped to make the right money choices. The rate at which developments happen in the technology space can be overwhelming for many people,” Matamane said.

The competition is also meant to encourage more usage of the bank’s digital solutions, which are seen as safer and more secure than handling cash.

“While we enjoy having globally awarded digital solutions like our Nedbank Money (Africa) app, we also remain cognisant of the need to ensure blanket inclusion and leave no one behind, and this cooperation seeks to achieve that by ensuring that even the most basic of digital transactions, a bank card swipe or tap, is not taken for granted,” Matamane stated.

He further said the partnership with Pick ’n Pay was influenced by the fact that Pick ‘n Pay is their corporate client.

The two entities also share a common vision in availing digital solutions for efficient and safe customer service, Matamane said.
