Popular club Deejay Thabo ‘Thizozo’ Tau of Thizo Sounds is set to begin a new tradition when he brings the ‘Let’s Touch Your Soul Soul’nRNB and Comedy Experience Easter Edition’ at the Maseru Club grounds next week.
Thizozo told Newsday Arts yesterday that in organizing the event set for April 17, he wanted to bring a different ambience to the already exhausted entertainment industry.
“The event is meant to give an option to other people who don’t like the normal vibe that most are used to, so I saw a gap which I thought I could fill. It was a matter of seeing a gap in the market having seen this kind of event in Pretoria, South Africa and that is when the idea came to me that we do not have this kind of events here at home,†said Thizozo.
Having hosted the first edition of the affair at the same venue last October and dubbed the Spring Edition, Thizozo said this will now be a seasonal event which will be hosted at least four times in a year.
“The idea is to bring up a whole tradition and a movement where we will be having the event every season and every one of them will be themed accordingly hence we encourage people to adhere to the theme,†Thizozo said, adding that this particular one will be hosted under the Black and White theme.
The event will be held in a picnic type of setting and provide an ambience dedicated to all who love and appreciate Soul and RNB music along with comedy.
The line-up consists of Bondo, Tamia who are both singers while the Djs scene will be brought to live by mixes from Tebsoul, Jazzy Tea Delux, Thizozo and Ebonics, with Lilaphalapha and Leotoana holding it down on the comedy front.
