The Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC), in partnership with Imajin and Fusion Lesotho, has unveiled a brand-new 2026 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro as the grand prize in the Lesotho Sports Raffle.

The vehicle was recently unveiled ahead of the grand draw scheduled for November 27, 2026, at Maseru Mall.

Now in its sixth week, the raffle was launched in August to mobilise sustainable funding for sports development while giving Basotho an opportunity to win cash and other prizes.

Participants stand a chance of winning weekly cash prizes of M5,000, M10,000, M15,000 and M60,000, while a vehicle is offered every 90 days. All registered players remain eligible for the vehicle draw, including those who have participated in previous draws without winning.

Speaking at the unveiling, Imajin and Fusion Lesotho chief executive officer Arnold Asante said the initiative was established to support the growth of sport in the country while rewarding participants.

“The Lesotho Sports Raffle is here to build the game; it is here to develop our sport,” Asante said.

He said the unveiling fulfilled the promise made at the launch that a vehicle would be awarded every 90 days.

Asante expressed satisfaction with the response from Basotho but encouraged more people to participate, emphasising that the initiative would contribute towards sports development.

LSRC president Baba Malephane also thanked the public for supporting the raffle, describing it as a positive step towards improving the funding of sport in Lesotho.

He said the unveiling demonstrated the commission’s commitment to ensuring the initiative was credible and delivered on its promises.

“This is a sign of how legitimate and serious we are about this initiative,” Malephane said.

He emphasised that the raffle was intended to benefit the nation and the future of sport rather than individuals or the commission.

“This initiative is not for me or the LSRC, but for Basotho and the future of sport in this country,” he said.

“We cannot always wait for the government to do things for us when we have the responsibility and the potential to bring about change on our own.”

According to the LSRC, the raffle has so far awarded more than M500,000 in cash prizes.

Members of the public can participate through the official LSRC website, by downloading the Lesotho Sports Raffle application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or by dialling *320# and following the instructions on any mobile network in Lesotho.

The commission says the initiative is designed to establish a citizen-driven funding model that can provide sustainable resources for the development of sport in the country.
