Police Spokesperson Mpiti Mopeli has confirmed that Government Secretary Moahloli Mphaka has was called in for questioning on Monday morning in relation to the ongoing investigations on Lipolelo Thabane’s assassination.
The Government Secretary reported to the police and asked that he be excused this morning, but promised to return in the afternoon. He indicated that he already had office commitments, Mopeli said.
Lipolelo Thabane, the estranged wife to Prime Minister Tom Thabane was gunned down by unknown assailants on the outskirts of the capital Maseru in June 2017, two days before her husband’s inauguration.
