BID REF NO:  RD/MAINTENANCE OF FORMER RIU BUILDING ROOFING -001        

PROJECT NAME:   RENOVATION OF FORMER RIU BUILDING AT THE ROADS DIRECTORATE HEADQUARTERS -MASERU

 

The Roads Directorate (RD) hereby invites local contractors in Category “B”, registered with Building Design Services of the Ministry of Public Works & Transport to submit their bids for Renovation of Former RIU Building at The Roads Directorate Headquarters – Maseru.

Tender documents can be obtained from the Procurement Unit at the Roads Directorate Headquarters in Maseru on payment of a non-refundable fee of M3000. 00. The method of payment will be by transfer or deposit into the following Bank Account: Roads Directorate Operating Revenue Account, Account No: 021000067633, Swift Code: NEDLLSMX, Branch Code:390161, Nedbank, Lesotho and proof thereof be presented to the Roads Directorate. Facility shall be made available for purchasing of the tender documents by POS/SWIPING at the Finance Division (Room G03), Roads Directorate.

Collection of Tender documents is from Monday 14th August 2023 to 07th September 2023.

Bidding Documents must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Five Thousand (M3000.00) in the form of a Banker’s Cheque addressed to “Roads Directorate” which must be attached.

Compliance Criteria

  • Copies of Tax Clearance Certificate and Trader’s Licence certified at the issuing organizations must be attached.
  • All participating companies must attach valid categorization certificate with Public Works and Transport (BDS).
  • All schedules including Bills of Quantities must be completed in full.
  • A preference margin shall be applied in accordance with the Lesotho Procurement Regulations 2007 Clause 12(1), (2) and (3).
  • Where there is discrepancy between the amount in figures and words, the amount in words shall govern.

THE TENDER AMOUNT SHOULD BE INCLUSIVE OF 15% V.A.T.

A tender without identification of a tenderer shall be submitted, properly sealed, signed and endorsed, “Renovation of RIU Building at Industrial Area, Maseru” eachshall be deposited in the tender box situated at ground floor of the Roads Directorate Headquarters in Maseru, Industrial Area, Opposite Browns Cash and carry Wholesalers.

The closing time for the receipt of tenders is 1200hrs for the official opening at 14:30hrs on Thursday 14th September 2023.

A mandatory site inspection will be conducted on Monday 28th August 2023. Tenderers must assemble at the Roads Directorate headquarters at 10:30am.

A non-compulsory Question and Answer Session will be conducted on Monday 28th August 2023 after the site inspection at the Roads Directorate Boardroom.

The Roads Directorate Tender Panel reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders.
