CBA is a non-governmental organization whose mandate is to assist the Lesotho Government on five thematic areas HIV and AIDS, Livelihoods, Economic Empowerment, Food Security and Humanitarian Relief.
CBA with the support from, FHI360 will be implementing the Key Populations (KP) programs. The project aims to strengthen the HIV prevention and care interventions for key populations (KP) through enhancing the capacity of the KP-led and KP-competent organizations to plan, deliver and optimize HIV prevention, care and treatment services to KP. CBA will implement the project focusing on Female Sex Workers (FSW) and Injecting Drug (IDU) and other priority groups in two (2) districts namely; Maseru and Leribe.

Job Purpose
The purpose of the job is to assist the Nurse with provision of minimum package of HIV prevention services, through support and integration on TB/HIV/SRH including PrEP, to eligible persons in Maputsoe and Maseru at designated Drop in Centers or supported hotspots. The position will also entail frequent travel to support outreach services in, hotspots and community settings. There will be close collaboration with Ministry of Health facilities responsible for the catchment areas being targeted. The position reports directly to the NURSE.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide both ART and PrEP initiation with guidance of the Key population nurse.
- Provide bookings of clients for both ART AND PrEP refills.
- Provide support to HTS Counsellor, during individual and group counselling for HIV testing, TB screening, PrEP, TB screening and cervical cancer screening
- Provide support to Peer Navigators during follow-ups clients in care for retention.
- Adhere to national guidelines and SOPs.
- Support Peer staff in ensuring that all registers are filled based on MOH standards.
- Monitor general health and vital signs and report to the KP Nurse.
- To assist with monitoring of PrEP clients and linkage into ART for sero-converting clients while on PrEP and engage with public and private health facilities to support follow up of clients.
- Assist in reviewing data on weekly/monthly reporting to Project Officer including.
- Ensures patient information is accurately recorded at sites; and treated with confidentiality.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing assistant
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in HIV Programming at both facility and community based facilities.
- Experience of working in HIV donor funded programs will be an added advantage.
- Registered with Lesotho Nursing Council of Lesotho with valid practicing license.
- Must have extensive experience in HIV, AIDS, TB, and STI treatment and care. Experience with HIV and AIDS interventions for key populations will be an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, Presentation, Facilitation, Mentoring and training skills.
- Dynamic professional willing to work flexible hours
- Computer Skills, including MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel
