Beauty queen Relebohile Buti who is also the former Miss Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) was crowned Queen at the 2022 Face of Lesotho (FoL) during the 10th coronation of the pageant which took place on Saturday hosted by the Beauty Pageants Association of Lesotho (BPAL).

The 23-year-old from Qoaling beat the competition of 14 other contestants who had made the final of the extravagant event to take home the grown.

Sotho Kids model Camila Jane was crowned 1st Princess while Refiloe Kolobe was crowned the 2nd Princess.

Speaking at the event, FoL National Director Lihle Setho said he was proud of the ladies and what they had managed to accomplish leading to the actual coronation.

“This year’s event was not just an event but a fulfillment of a purpose. We were able to attract sponsors, and were able to get something for the participants,” said Setho, thus extending a vote of thanks to the sponsors.

The extravagant event was sponsored by amongst others Clicks Lesotho, Tripharm, MCT Entertainment, Avani Hotels, Green Lake Guest House and Dona@Balos.

“The journey was incredible but challenging not just for the organisers but the ladies as well who have come such a long way in the competition yet ably still maintaining a level of sisterhood. But above all I am grateful to the sponsors who made it easy.

“It was about what is in it for the contestants, an experience of a life time. Each and every one of them has grown individually and has been able to establish some life building skills as well as being empowered,” Setho said.

Buti has previously been a Promotional Model for Basali Merchandise, Promotional Model for African Pot and is currently the Ambassador for Lizzy Beauty Bar. In 2019, she was part of models for the Moshoeshoe Day Fashion Show as well as the Lesotho Fashion Week and that was the same year she was crowned Miss Limkokwing.

She has represented Lesotho at the Miss Planet in Tiblis, Geogia after which she took a break away from the modeling industry before returning in 2017 to join the Tgee Modeling Agency, one of the oldest agencies in the country.
