Subject: Call for Expression of Interest
The Geography and Environmental Movement (GEM) invites Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Lesotho working on environmental issues to express their interest in joining the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Multi-Environment Agreements (MEAs) CSO Network. This initiative seeks to jointly strengthen community driven environmental efforts, enhance policy advocacy, support innovative solutions to environmental challenges and amplify the voice of Lesotho’s civil society at the national decision making platforms. Please join us if you are a Civil Society Organisation, Community Based Organisation, Faith Based Organisation, Association, Philanthropic Organization, Activists groups and Cultural Organisations, actively engaged in the following thematic areas:
- Climate Change Adaptation and or Mitigation
- Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security
- Water Conservation & Management.
- Ecosystem Restoration & Conservation
- Renewable Energy Initiatives and Sustainable livelihoods
- Waste Management & Recycling
- Waste-to-Art and Green Enterprises
- Circular Economy and Green Jobs Program
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Wetland Restoration and Protection
- Agro ecology and Indigenous Crops Promotion
- Beekeeping for Biodiversity and Livelihoods
- Eco-Tourism and Conservation Education
- Wildlife Protection and Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation
- Community-Based Rangeland Management
- Aquaculture Development Projects
- Reforestation and Afforestation
- Soil Conservation & Land Restoration
- Food Banks & Food Waste Reduction and Processing
