Top fashion brand, Lesotho Fashion Week (LFW), has received a VIP invitation to be part of the prestigious and glamorous Miss South Africa Finale beauty pageant scheduled to take place on 13 August 2022 at the SunBet Arena in Time Square, Pretoria.

The invitation to the Lesotho Fashion Week includes a red carpet coverage at the Miss South Africa through streaming live on all of their social media platforms starting from 14h30 on 13 August 2022. In addition, LFW has been invited as a Red Carpet media correspondent to interview South Africa’s Top A-list celebrities at the Red Carpet.

The invitation marks a milestone in the country’s fashion industry as LFW will realise a dream come true. It will be making history by being the first fashion brand from Lesotho to receive a VIP invitation to the pageant.

Lesotho Fashion Week is the only business-to-business marketing, dealing with retail and fashion development in Lesotho. It has been a platform that showcases fashion designers and models through the hosting if it’s by annual fashion week event.

This year, the pageant is sticking to its ‘Go big or go home’ motto for the grand finale.

The Red Carpet guests that Lesotho Fashion Week is expected to interview include South African Rapper Nadia Nakai, media personality Boity Thulo, International Award-winning artist Makhadzi, South African DJ and music producer Heavy K, R&B sensation Elaine, Seasons hit-maker Lloyiso, Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska as well as the reigning Miss South Africa 2021 who also holds the title of Miss Supranational 2022, Lalela Mswane.

The founder and Managing Director of LFW, Mahali Granier told this publication that the invitation was a result of the authenticity that the LFW brand has of standing out from the rest.

“Our brand is original. We don’t try to mimic others. Instead, we have found a unique angle that nobody else has taken before.

“Our image and voice are fully ours. Most importantly, we are very consistent and our brand standards are very well defined. We have a very loyal following that expects a sense of familiarity and predictability.,” she explained.

She said this shows that LFW has taken up its position as a household name aligned with its vision to become the biggest fashion week in Africa which is becoming a reality.

LFW entered the scene in 2018 with a big vision of becoming a platform where the best, most globally relevant and contemporary Basotho fashion creatives will be discovered.

Granier highlighted that sending young, exceptionally talented Basotho to the Miss South Africa 2022 Finale, to interview some of the biggest celebrities not only from South Africa but from all over the world, is what the vision has been about amongst others.

“We are grooming and propelling Basotho fashion creatives to become global household names.  And this is what we want to take away from the experience,” she highlighted.

Miss South Africa 2022 red carpet and event finale will be attended by Face of Lesotho Fashion Week 2022, Charlene McPherson, 24 and Lesotho Fashion Week Brand Ambassador, Lineo Seboholi, 21.

They will be accompanied by LFW’s make-up artist, Refiloe Kolobe, 21 as well as Lesotho’s number one showbiz photographer, Relic.

“As Lesotho Fashion Week, we are thrilled to have Charlene and Lineo cover the red carpet and welcome VIPs at South Africa’s biggest glittering, entertainment-packed event. They both provide a sense of glamour and fun, which will kick off the proceedings with a punch,” said Granier.

“I am super ecstatic to be covering the red carpet at this year’s Miss South Africa. It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of the Miss South Africa’s legacy. This is truly a blessing and a dream transformed into reality,” Seboholi said.
