A Division League off to a roaring start

In a riveting display of skill and determination, the A Division League burst back to life last weekend, treating football fans to an action-packed series of matches.

Leading the charge was Qoaling Highlanders FC, leaving no room for doubt about their ambitions this season as they triumphed over FC Summit in a resounding 4-1 victory.

The league, representing the second tier of Lesotho’s club football, boasts a lineup of 20 formidable teams hailing from different corners of the country.

Split into the Southern and Northern streams, each with 10 fierce contenders, the competition promises a thrilling ride for both players and spectators alike.

In the Southern stream, Qoaling Highlanders shared the limelight with other powerhouses. Swallows FC soared to a close 3-2 victory against Quthing LMPS FC, while Majantja FC clinched a hard-fought 2-1 win against Roma Boys FC, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Sunday brought its own set of nail-biting encounters, as Mahlaseli FC battled it out with 05 United FC to a well-earned 1-1 draw, and Members FC secured a narrow 1-0 win over FC Qacha’s Nek LMPS.

Over in the Northern stream, Mzamane FC showcased their prowess with a thrilling 3-2 win against Kick4Life Juventude FC. Meanwhile, BB Warriors FC and Rovers FC kept the crowd on their toes with a goalless draw that had hearts pounding.

Sunday’s matches in the Northern stream proved equally intense. Sehenehene FC fought valiantly but succumbed to a 0-1 defeat against Maroala FC. Lerotholi Polytechnic FC and Galaxy FC battled to a gritty 0-0 draw, while Lilemela FC and Litšilo FC shared the spoils in a hard-fought 1-1 stalemate.

As anticipation reaches a fever pitch, this weekend’s fixtures in the Northern stream are set to sizzle.

Galaxy will clash with Mzamane at DiFA TTC in Maputsoe, Litšilo will lock horns with Sehenehene at Pitseng, and Lerotholi Polytechnic will face off against Maroala at the LCS Grounds.

Kick4Life Juventude will take on BB Warriors at Agric College Grounds Roma, while Rovers will go head-to-head with Lilemela at Nyakosoba.

In the Southern stream, 05 United will face off against Members at DiFA Mohale’s Hoek, Qacha’s Nek LMPS will lock horns with Majantja at Melele Stadium, Quthing LMPS will take on Mahlaseli at Bambatha TTC, Roma Boys will battle against Qoaling Highlanders at CK Ground Roma, and Swallows will clash with Summit at ‘Matikoe High School.
