The South African contingent of Ba2cada and Mduduzi Ncube will be among the top-billed entertainers at the annual Lecholi Mountain Drive and Braai Experience slated for September 30 this year.
Now on its third installment, the event promises to serve another killer show with a strong line-up of top performers from both Lesotho and South Africa.
Wave Rhyder, DJ Thizozo, DJ Bootz, Pablo DJ, Juvy, Omali Themba, Mavele and many more will entertain revelers during the main show.
The outdoor event is held at Lekhalong la Baroa (Bushmen’s Pass), a high mountain pass that stands at an impressive 2266 meters above sea level, deep in the highlands of Maseru.
The route up the mountains has exciting and scenic bends and curves, which make it appropriate for the intended drive. However, the place is reachable by any vehicle.
The two-day extravaganza involves several entertainment activities including a 4×4 mountain drive, musical performances, meat braaing, movie night around the fire, and overnight camping.
A chilling event named the Sunday Chillaz follows the next day after the main event at the same venue.
Lecholi organisers indicated that the event is not only meant to bring people together to rejoice in different ways in the wild but also to promote tourism.
“The purpose of the event is to bring people together, both local and international guests to rejoice in different ways and have memorable experiences of the wilderness,†the organisers said in a statement.
“We also aim to promote tourism in Lesotho and bring entertainment to people living in rural areas, such as Khalong-La-Baroa, we believe that our event has the potential to attract visitors from outside the country, and we hope that with your support, we can continue to improve and expand the event in the future.â€
Tickets are currently available for M150 but will be M200 at the entrance. The VVIP ticket costs M1,000 each.
